While a second round of negotiations between the opposition and the ruling party is not yet in the air, the extra-parliamentary opposition has taken time-out for regrouping, and certain new coalitions look likely to form. Whether the opposition will come with an alternative, positive action plan or vision after regrouping remains to be seen. The extra-parliamentary opposition regrouping will be possibly finalized by the coming August, the latest.

Angka DPS Pilpres Banyuasin Meningkat

Banyaknya warga yang tidak terdaftar dalam pemilu legislatif April lalu menjadi pekerjaan tersendiri bagi penyelenggara pemilu. Untuk menyiasati agar hal serupa tidak kembali terjadi dalam pilpres Juli mendatang, KPUD dan Pemerintah Kabupaten Banyuasin menggelar pendataan penduduk yang melibatkan para Kepala Desa, Ketua RT dan Ketua RW. Mereka mendatangi rumah warga untuk melakukan pendataan. Langkah antisipasi ini patut diacungi jempol, karena terbukti ada cukup banyak penambahan pemilih dalam Daftar Pemilih Sementara (DPS), dari hasil Daftar Pemilih Tetap (DPT) pemilu legislatif. Untuk Panitia Pemilihan Kecamatan Banyuasin III, misalnya, angkanya sangat fantastis, penambahannya mencapai lebih dari seribu DPT pemilu legislatif.
